Writing Prompt - Dig a Hole

First, pick your character. Is it someone from a current project or is it someone new? Okay, now get a shovel and dig a hole. Ask your character why he is digging a hole. What will he put in the hole or what might he find as he keeps digging? Try to use all five senses as you write. Remember that digging in sand at the beach will feel and smell differently than digging in mud in your backyard.
