Writing prompt - Pick an Object

Get up from your computer right now and pick up an ordinary object from anywhere inside or outside. A rock, a spoon, the leaf off a plant. Anything. There's no right or wrong answer. Come back to your computer and just study it for at least a full minute (which is longer than you think.) Look at the shape, feel the texture, does it have a smell?

Okay, now describe it so that someone who is not in the room with you can guess what it is.
